POTSDAM, NY – Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Joshua LaBarge has joined the medical team at Canton-Potsdam Hospital (CPH).
Mr. LaBarge earned his Master’s of Science in Nursing degree with a post-Master’s certification in Anesthesia from Drexel University/Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center, Camden, NJ. He was a member of the United States Navy, and prior to completing his undergraduate education, he worked in the CPH Environmental Services Department.
“The North Country is a special place to me, because I was born and raised in Massena. Being native to the area, I am excited to join the anesthesia team at CPH to care for a community of people that I hold close to my heart,” Mr. LaBarge said.
“After being away for several years, my wife and I missed the area and all it has to offer, such as local outdoor recreational activities, the beauty of nature in the area, and being close to family and friends, to name a few. It's truly a wonderful place to raise our family,” he added.
As a CRNA, Mr. LaBarge is experienced in administering a variety of anesthetic techniques including local, spinal/epidural, sedation, and general anesthesia over a broad range of complex surgical procedures such as general, urology, orthopedic, vascular, pulmonary, neurologic, pediatric, obstetric, gastro-intestinal, gynecological, endocrine, ENT, and trauma.
