Dr Parshall Joins Emergency Teams

He is providing care in the Emergency departments at both Canton-Potsdam, and Gouverneur hospitals.

POTSDAM/GOUVERNEUR, NY – Board certified Emergency Medicine physician Mark Parshall, MD, has joined St. Lawrence Health. He is providing care in the Emergency departments at both Canton-Potsdam, and Gouverneur hospitals.

Dr. Parshall is American Board of Medical Specialties certified, and earned his medical degree from Autonomous Universidad of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. He received his Fifth Pathway Certification from New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY; and completed his residency at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Utica, NY.

Dr. Parshall is a native of Northern New York, and has spent the majority of his medical career serving the patients and being a community member of the region.

“I raised my family in this area and continue to enjoy living in a quieter and friendly environment offered by the North Country. I am an avid outdoorsman and enjoy boating, hunting and fishing,” Dr. Parshall said. “I believe becoming a part of the St. Lawrence Health team will be a perfect fit for me.”

Dr. Parshall is member of the Regional Stroke Advisory Committee and Regional Trauma Advisory Committee of New York State. He comes to St. Lawrence Health with experience as an Emergency Department Director, Hospitalist Program Director, Urgent Care Director, and a county Search and Rescue Medical Director.

Dr. Parshall provides comprehensive care in all matters requiring immediate attention, including chest pain, stroke, and seizures. He also provides trauma care from motor vehicle accidents, sports injuries, burns, allergic reactions, difficulty breathing, and infectious diseases relating to the management of viruses.
