Breastfeeding Drop-Ins for Moms in Rochester

Rochester Regional Health is helping make breastfeeding an informative and social event thanks to a collaboration with ROC City Baby Café, a network of breastfeeding drop-ins run by lactation specialists. On the first Thursday of each month, mothers can speak with lactation specialists who offer education and support to any pregnant woman or breastfeeding mom at any stage in their breastfeeding journey.

World Breastfeeding Week

Celebrating World Breastfeeding Week from August 1 to August 7, moms from the community dropped in to Alexander Park to trade tips and discuss breastfeeding.

“I wanted to get some insight from other moms and how it’s been for them,” said Nadiah Tucker. “I’m a first-time mom, so to have someone to relate to you is very nice.”
