Members of the Jewish Community Center in Rochester, NY are about to get more access to healthcare. The JCC and Rochester Regional Health are partnering to bring new health and wellness services free to JCC members.

"Finding the right places for patients to be able to access care in a way that's non-threatening, easy, and allows us to have a trusted space and place to find answers in a complicated world of healthcare was something that our communities across America need, not just in Rochester," said Bridgette Wiefling, MD, Senior VP of Primary Care for Rochester Regional Health. "We are so happy to have found this partnership with the JCC to make that happen here."

The first initiative will be housed at the Cornell Sports and Fitness Complex where a registered nurse will offer a variety of health and wellness services.

"What's really innovative about this is we're committed to getting in a room together and looking at it from both of our directions and saying what's the program we built together," said Josh Weinstein, CEO of the Louis S. Wolk Jewish Community Center. "Some other organizations essentially rent spaces out in their community center to health systems, but we have a partnership where we want to build that program together."

As the partnership between Rochester Regional Health and the JCC evolves, more programs can be added that the local Rochester community can take part in.
