Visiting your loved one at the hospital can offer a number of health benefits, like reducing stress and anxiety, increasing their mood, boosting morale, and simply putting a smile back on their face. As the number of new coronavirus cases decreases in our community, Rochester Regional Health has created a set of safe guidelines so you can still visit your family and friends at any of our hospitals.

Visitor Guidelines

Things may look a bit different when you visit, but you can rest assured that we’re still providing the same safe, high-quality care. Watch the video below to learn more.

Visiting hours

Patients may designate two visitors throughout their stay. However, only one visitor is allowed at a time for no longer than four hours daily.

  • Visitors must be older than 18 years of age
  • Visiting hours for all RRH hospitals are 9am – 1pm and 4pm – 7pm daily

New visiting hours and guidelines

Screening

All visitors will be screened upon arrival at any of our hospitals.

  • Visitors won’t be allowed to enter if they have had a positive COVID-19 test in the prior 14 days, have been recently exposed to COVID-19, experienced symptoms during the prior 14 days or have had a temperature over 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

Visitors will need to check-in upon arrival and check-out when they leave the hospital.

  • Approved visitors must remain in the patient’s room for the entirety of their visit.

Masking and Hand Hygiene

Similar to all employees, visitors must wear a mask or cloth face-covering at all times while in the hospital.

  • Visitors must follow proper hand hygiene: wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • If soap and water are not available, use hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
  • Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry

Social distancing

Social distancing has been proven to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Visitors must keep more than six feet between themselves and others at all times while at a Rochester Regional Health hospital.
