POTSDAM, NY – Certified Physician Assistant William Bronner is the newest member of the St. Lawrence Health (SLH) Emergency Medicine team. He is seeing patients in the Emergency Departments at Canton-Potsdam, Gouverneur, and Massena hospitals.

PA Bronner is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and he earned his degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, NY.

“St. Lawrence Health is a great fit for me since I'm very familiar with small hospitals and rural medicine. I was born and raised in the North Country and this has made me very familiar with the needs of the people who live here, and the unique challenges that often face our community,” Mr. Bronner said.

“I attended St. Lawrence University for my undergraduate studies and completed most of my clinical education in St. Lawrence County, which means the Canton-Potsdam community is a familiar and special place to me. Having the opportunity to provide healthcare to area residents during such a difficult time in our history is exciting to me, and I am ready to get to work,” he added.

Mr. Bronner comes to SLH with experience in venipuncture, initiation of IV infusions, removal of central lines, collections of cultures, Papanicolaou smears, obtaining and interpreting electrocardiograms, casting and splinting, reduction of dislocated joints, closure of wounds via suture, and prescribing and administering medications. Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, Mr. Bronner was a certified Nursing Assistant.
